Motion Graphic test for the app Elevate

Focusing on the rewarding system of the game as well as the emphasis on vocal logic. Calvary was used during the whole process.


An App Opening Sequence for Quilly : 

Keywords: isolated—a warm welcome—’Quilly’ 

Purpose: The sequence emphasizes the contrast between isolation and fullness, coldness and warmness. The goal is to strengthen the idea of ‘family like welcome’. 

Storyline: A girl who feels lonely and aimless walks into a jungle. She pushes aside the foliage, and in front of her appears a cluster of warm houses, with flowers in bloom and trees growing. The camera quickly moves through the doors of these houses. After a burst of light, the “Quilly” logo appears.

Design Process

Character design

I was referencing Quilly’s established illustration and made this character accordingly. Adding a bit of outdoor flavor but keep the character simple.

Transition Scene Design

The patterns come from the brand’s visual guide book. I saw these little elements as crucial indicators of the picture the brand describes: a dynamic, fruitful campus life. That’s why I use them during the transitioning scene.
